An excellent turnout of 20 members at this new location near Kingston upon Thames.
The meeting room was just right and the weather was good enough to eat lunch in the garden.

Meeting highlights

  • The Officers of the Chapter were re-elected (Chair Angie Holmes, Vice Chair Mary Kehoe, Treasurer & Convention OrganiserTerry Emmony, Paula Sedgwick Membership Secretary, Adrian Horsham Newsletter Editor, Jacqueline Berthold Marketing & Goody bags)
  • Accounts. The Chapter made a loss of £243 in the year to 31 March 2007 (2006: loss £62) Within that, the Convention made a loss of £415 (£290). Current bank balance £900.
  • Membership. Currently 55. The change of IPBA bye laws should mean an influx of members. A new UK membership form will be distributed.
  • Subscriptions to remain at £10pa (£12 for non-UK)
  • Convention 2007. A proposal to hold the event at Grays Antiques Market wasn't popular with everyone. Alternatives are to be explored - in particular Cheltenham, where a previous BCCS show had been held. Format: a two day event was preferred. Date: To avoid clashes with other events & shows and to take advantage of cheaper hotel costs, early November was preferred.
